I want to put a formula in Excel attendance sheet to calculate late timings of employees if they are late than the official time. For example, my office time starts at 8:00 AM. I want to calculate the late timings of employees if they are reaching 10 minutes late or 1 hour, etc.

Please help to put a formula for this. Many thanks.

It is very simple. Formula is =start time - real time. Make 3 columns, in first column start time, in 2nd column real time and put the formula in 3rd column is = 1st column-2nd column. Thats it. anju

Hi Zainab,

Please find the Attendance Formula Sheet which I had created. You can modify it as per your needs. Hope it might be of some use to you.

Please note: Timings need to be entered in a twenty-four-hour format.

I want to create a time attendance sheet that can calculate the late arrival time of employees. For example, if I start work at 8:30 and someone arrives at 8:45, it should display 15 minutes late. Currently, I use the formula = B2 (real time) - 8:30 (start time), but it shows a negative value (-8:30) when my sheet is empty. How can I resolve this issue?

We are deducting salary for latecomers. I am working with a pharmaceutical distributor, and here leave facility is also not available. If one day is missed without prior information, we deduct double salary. Is this correct, or is there any other alternative available? Please let me know.

You can use this attendance sheet to just enter in and out time or VL, SL, C-OFF, CL, Holiday, and you will get the output.
