Hi friends,

Currently, I am working in an IT company in the HR Department. My question is regarding leave. If an employee is on ESIC leave from 27.08.09 to 31.08.09 and absent on 26.08.09, then whether any leave (CL or SL) is paid to him?

In our company, the rule is that such leave is not given to an employee. Please provide the proper answer. What is the actual rule?

Hi,

When the employee has availed ESI leave, he cannot avail any other leave during the period. Prefix and suffix can be any other leave. He has to get benefit from ESI for ESI leave.

Hi,

If you have availed ESI leave, then you will get the benefit from ESIC. During that particular time period, you cannot avail any other types of leave such as EL, CL, or SL. These leaves can be either prefixed or suffixed.
