I am new in the HR field and recently joined the industry. I have been assigned a task of calculating arrears for the workers. The management has decided to give increments in September 2009, and I need to calculate arrears from April 2009 to August 2009.
Please assist me by providing any format or formula to calculate arrears.

Arrears would be calculated as the difference between the existing per month salary and the proposed per month salary multiplied by the number of months for which arrears are to be paid. If different components of the salary structure have been revised separately, calculations would be done separately for each component.

Salary Increment and Arrears Calculation
Our company has decided to give an 8% increment on the gross salary effective from October 2009 to March 2010. We revised the salary accordingly in February 2010. We now need to calculate arrears for 4 months. Please let me know if I should consider the Loss of Pay (LOP) while calculating the arrears for these 4 months.
