Respected members,

I worked for an MNC company in Chennai 6 years ago. I understand that there may be questions about my silence during these past 6 years... My apologies.

Now, I am seeking expert advice on withdrawing my PF at this stage or transferring it to my current company's PF account located in Bangalore (interstate).

Please note:
1. I am attempting to withdraw after 6 years.
2. My previous BPO company no longer exists.
3. I have also noticed that my name was misspelled in the PF account statement at this stage.

Any helpful information is much appreciated.

Regards & Thanks,

Dear Bhat,

You can withdraw your PF from your previous company without any issue even if you withdraw after 6 years. In this case, you need to fill out your Form 19 and 10C and have your signature attested by the bank manager. If your BPO no longer exists, then you should have your form attested by a gazetted officer and deposit it at the PF office. Ensure that you fill out the form with the same name and that your bank account matches the name registered with the PF office.

Dear Bhatt Ji,

You need not withdraw PF from your previous organization because it's almost 6 years. Just transfer your PF account to your current account; it will help you for the pension fund. However, simply fill out Form 13 and submit it to the PF office. It will take hardly 30 days to transfer. So, no need to waste your time. The form should be attested by a gazetted officer, and the signature should be attested by the bank manager.

Thank you.
