Dear,
My name is Rajat. Recently, I have completed my MBA in marketing specialization and am currently working with Reliance Communication as a sales executive. I am worried about my career prospects for the future. I am considering further studies, but they should involve exams that lead to certification in specific subjects, such as advertisement or marketing management.
I am looking forward to your response.
Thank you,

Hi Rajat,
Nice to see you concerned about the future and planning for it. Being a sales executive is not a bad job at all; I think you are worried about being a sales executive. You have to learn from scratch, which always helps. You will realize the value of this later.
Now, coming to your question, first, think about what you want to be. Advertising, marketing communications, market research, there are many options. I know this because I have an MBA in Marketing.
This is a tough world to survive in, so it's better to know what you know and what you want to be in the next 5 years, then plan accordingly. Reliance is not a small company; the opportunity to grow may be slow, but you have the opportunity to learn a lot. The best way to do this is to assist your boss in everything you can if you want to learn.
Planning to do a course is a good idea. Think, research, and execute the plans.

Hi Abdul Jee,
I read your suggestion to Mr. Rajat and found it inspiring. Since you are also from Marketing, I would like to seek guidance from you. Please suggest:
I am an MBA Marketing graduate from 2007. During my last semester, I secured a job in a Construction Company in the Administration department. I worked there for 3 years before joining a manufacturing company in the same department. I have now completed 2 1/2 years here. However, I am feeling discouraged as I realize that despite being an MBA, I do not have a strong work profile or salary. I am eager to transition into Marketing, but I am unsure where to begin. Please assist me in this matter.
Thanks and regards,
