Dear Ms. Rekha,

Thank you for your quote. When I was looking for some information about it, I was not able to find any. However, with the help of our friends in 'citehr,' I was able to gather this information.

By the way, "Knowledge grows by sharing, isn't it?"

Since I am located in Mumbai, I may not be able to assist you in finding a suitable institute in your area. I recommend personally visiting the institute and, based on your judgment, deciding whether to join.

May I ask for your location? If I come across any information relevant to your area, I will be sure to inform you.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Anish,

Thank you for providing such valuable information. I need some suggestions from you. I have a B.Tech in IT and currently pursuing an MBA in Delhi. I have decided to major in HR and minor in IT. If I choose IT as a minor, the college will provide free SAP training. I don't think they will teach SAP as per industry requirements; they will just give an overview of it. Please tell me, should I take IT as a minor? Also, could you suggest any good institutes in Delhi for SAP training? Is it necessary to take SAP training from a branded institute?

Dear Friends,

Today was the 2nd day of my SAP-HR Functional module.

I cannot suggest to you right now the name of my institute. Let me first be convinced of its effectiveness, and then I will let you know.

Meanwhile, do visit different institutions wherever they are providing SAP training. By comparing their fee structure, facilities, support, and most importantly, faculty, post-placement support are the different criteria.

But I would suggest joining as early as possible. It's a golden time to start. In the months of April to May, we will have good opportunities.

Institutes are providing very flexible timings. It could be 4 hours a day (5 days a week), 2 hours a day, Saturday-Sunday, or only Sunday. Accordingly, the time duration will increase or decrease.

I will share my personal experience of the initial 5 days' training.

Keep discussing. We will get good ideas here.

Please share more information if anybody gets to know about On-the-Job training in SAP or full-time and part-time jobs in Mumbai.

Dear Ms. Anjana,

First of all, thanks for recognizing my efforts.

I will try my best to give you my idea on your different questions.

There are different factors on which people choose specialization. If you are an Engineer with IT and taking HR as your major, then you will have ample opportunities in the IT Industry. Taking IT as your minor could give you ease because it's your cup of tea, but after entering into management, I suggest you explore other options to increase your knowledge base.

Understanding how a business enterprise works and how different departments are inter-connected is essential to learn.

Now, let's talk about SAP. You are right, in your college, you will get exposure similar to learning any other software package. But SAP is not only about understanding its capabilities but also its application in business function integration. Therefore, our seniors suggest going for SAP only after acquiring at least 1 year of domain experience in the industry of your interest.

All my thoughts above might not be correct or satisfying your query because everybody has a different perspective. Friends, please correct me if I am wrong on any of the points.

I also request our other friends to discuss it here so that everybody can benefit from it.
