Dear Andhri,
Hope this message finds you in good spirits!
Please accept my greetings for your upcoming child. May God bless you with a healthy child, and may all your sorrows and worries shed away from you. First of all, I would like to know what your husband does. If he is earning a handsome income every month, then I suggest you take proper care of yourself and not worry about finding a job for at least a year or longer. If your husband does not earn enough money and you are facing financial problems, there is no need to worry. In our profession, there is an option to work from home by doing online recruitments (there are firms that offer this opportunity). However, I still suggest that you prioritize your health and not opt for this.
Finding a job is not difficult; the key is to be mindful of the role we play at work. Stay updated by reading articles about Human Resources and make time for regular meetups with colleagues every weekend, as it can work wonders. After you have delivered the baby, you have a genuine reason to explain why you took a break. Approach your job search with confidence and high energy levels, and I am confident that nothing can hinder you from securing a good job.
That's for sure.
Warm Regards,
Mohammed Abid Hussain Senior HR.

Thank you for your blessings and suggestions to boost my confidence. I am well-confident but get scared by market recessions.
My husband works in a well-known insurance company as a Training Manager and earns a handsome amount of money. I was just scared about my career, but it's true that this is not the end of the road...

Hi Andhri,
Congratulations to you! Regarding your worries about your career break, I can perfectly relate to it because I had been in this situation 4 years back. I had taken a break of 2 years for my baby, but I was lucky enough to get a very good break as soon as I was ready to come back.
I would suggest you utilize the time efficiently; you can build your skill set by learning something related to your field. You can enroll in any course (distance learning). I actually took my PG diploma in HR from Symbiosis through distance learning when I had taken the break.
Also, check for work-from-home options; there are many opportunities available. That would help you to keep yourself engaged and aware of industry happenings, etc. Also, read up a lot through the internet or books, etc.
And above all, take care of your health! Good luck to you!

If your husband is earning well, why are you worried about your career? Concentrate on your baby now. Don't chase money and career; your family should be important to you. As a mom, you care for your child for as many years as your mom cared for you. Otherwise, after two years, you might send your child to a creche or babysitter. If you spend the whole day in the office, what will be the use? Rest is up to you. Life is not just about earning money and working a job.
