Hi,

First, prepare a data of all employees in your organization. Print greeting cards with your company name the day before the birthday of any employee. All employees should sign the card, along with the directors, and hand it over to them on their birthday. You can plan a small snack party at the end of the day within your department. Give small company gifts.

Hi Satish,

Please prepare a monthly birthday list of your employees. From the HR Department, send E-cards to the individuals and cc all staff. You may also present a bouquet to the individual and have them plant saplings on their special day.

Hi,

You can give a packet of sweets and a birthday card to each employee on their birthday. For that, you have to first prepare a database of all the permanent employees as well as the total approximate cost required in a year. Accordingly, based on your budget, you can create the policy.

My company has a birthday celebration each month for all employees who had a birthday during that month. The company will purchase a cake, and we sing Happy Birthday.

As many people take the day off on their birthday, in that case, you can even consider celebrating birthdays monthly in honor of whoever had a birthday during that given month.

Hi Satish,

In my opinion, what you do is personally call the employee to wish him/her a happy birthday on behalf of the entire organization. At the same time, inform one of the top management seniors based on their availability and also ask them to wish the particular employee. If you succeed in convincing your top management senior to wish the employees on their birthdays, there would be no greater gift than the employees receiving wishes from top management seniors.

It is one of the best policies to retain efficient employees.

In order to facilitate the database, prepare it in an Excel sheet, with the `TODAY()` command and even set up an alert.

If using other email IDs like Yahoo or Ibibo, you may also set up an auto-greeting that will be posted automatically, even if an employee resigns from the job.

What else is the other easy way? You can work wonders by updating the correct birth date. If that could be a wedding date... Oops! (just kidding!) Take it sportively!

In my organization, the President Director personally goes to the birthday boy/girl with the HRD department. He will take a rose with him and in front of his department people, he will ask the birthday boy/girl to sing a song or tell a joke. We have a centralized music system, so for two minutes, we also keep the music on.

Hi,

In our company, we celebrate birthdays by cutting a cake. Generally, we at HR send the list of members and their birthdates to the baker, who will deliver it on the specified date. We print a birthday letter where all members in HR will sign and send it with the cake to the department of the employee whose birthday is being celebrated. The cake is cut by the birthday employee, and all others will sing the birthday song. If the birthday falls on a holiday, we celebrate it the day before.

Hi Satish,

In our organization, we give gift vouchers worth Rs. 500 to our employees on their birthdays as a gesture of appreciation. We also send an email to all staff members, encouraging them to wish Mr./Miss ---- a very happy birthday. If the birthday falls on holidays or weekends, we extend the greetings belatedly in the same manner. Additionally, you can consider giving Sodexo meal vouchers as a gift.

Hi, as per my company policy, an employee on his birthday is presented with a bouquet and a cake. Prior to this, a mail is sent to his personal as well as official email id, and a call is made from the HR Department.

In my previous organization, an employee had the option to take the day off from work on his birthday, which, in turn, was considered as paid time off.

A policy of employee birthdays:

What you can do is you should have data of employees' birthdays in the system. The birthday baby should receive an online greeting card from the HR Department, marking to all. You can also schedule a day at the end of the month consisting of all the employees whose birthdays fall in that particular month. This can be followed by cake cutting, snacks, and a little bit of activity like games. This way, you can save time while celebrating and enjoying. 🙂

Hi,

Basically, what we do is that as the number of employees increases, we celebrate birthdays on the last working day or Saturday of the month. We order cake, flowers, and call all those whose birthday falls in that particular month. We also ask them to share thoughts, experiences, or anything else they want to share. Furthermore, we highlight the achievements and contributions of each employee whose birthday it is to the organization.

This could be an idea that you may like.
