Hi Pankaj,

Start by charting out the recruitment process. Is there a standard procedure being followed by the company?

Check whether they maintain a database of all resumes that come in to avoid duplication.

Ask the HR Manager about the lead time of recruitment. Then, take a random case and verify whether it is the same.

Inquire whether they have a system for conducting reference checks to verify applicants.

Examine the cost per hire. Is it more than what should ideally be?
