Hi Rashmi,
How are you? Well, coming to the topic:
1. Conduct an organization study and analyze the attrition trend chart.
2. Look at the positions where attrition is higher.
3. Analyze the work environment.
4. Review the recruiting process, benefits, training, career plans, and appraisals.
5. Conduct a satisfaction survey.
6. Analyze exit interview data.
7. By that time, you will be able to identify the root cause of the problem.
8. Suggest recommendations on how to reduce the attrition rate.
9. Utilize a competency-based approach to HRM, including competency-based recruitment and selection, training and development, and career planning.
These are some general steps that may not be in line. This information may help you. If you want, I can try to provide you with data in an aligned way.
Take care, Rashmi.

Hi Rashmi,
You are most welcome. I am trying to get more information in this area. Today, I have sent you some links, hoping that they may help you. You may already be tired. I have asked for a report on the same topic from one of my friends. Once I receive that, I will forward it to you. In which college are you studying? What's the other specialization you have opted for? Anyways, Rashmi, good luck for your future.

Hi Rashmi,
Sorry, the links are not working. Click on this link http://bpmwatch.com <link updated to site home>. It's better to do the project using a questionnaire on attrition rate, as your project focuses on the industry. If you stick to just one company, it may not provide enough depth.
If your synopsis is related to "Attrition Management in XYZ Company," it would be easier as you would concentrate on just one company. However, since your project is on the IT industry, consider preparing a questionnaire, circulating it to employees in various companies, collecting the data, plotting graphs, and providing suggestions.
If you have the option to change the synopsis, I suggest, just as a suggestion, that you switch it to a specific company. This would make it easier for you to work on the project. Think about it, and could you please explain why you chose this subject?

You understood it right. My project is a part of my MBA. Though we have not got a deadline yet, and therefore, I am going very slow 😉. But yes, I do spend time to read more in order to make my project. The biggest problem that I am facing is if at all I make a questionnaire, where would I go to get it filled? Because I have not got a job yet, and moreover, no company is giving me permission to speak to their employees for this work 😳. So, I am a bit confused as to how to go about it.
But thanks a lot, Dev, for a quick response 😂.

Hi Pinkii,
Great, you are proactive. See Pinkii, no companies will give you permission for meeting employees because attrition is something which is internal to the company. You have 3 ways to do your projects:
1. Change your synopsis to focus on a specific company, like XYZ company, instead of the industry. Try to get permission from any one of the companies and execute the project there, suggesting strategies for retention.
2. This will be a bit harder to do, but some of my friends did it. During the company's leisure time (during lunch), employees may come out of the company. At that time, you can approach them and get the questionnaire filled. However, I am not sure if you can do it.
3. You have to do the research work by using secondary data from journals, newspapers, magazines, etc. It's like reinventing the wheel.
Think of it as you have time. This is only a suggestion based on my knowledge.
Take care, Pinkii.

Thank you so much, Dev, for your kind help and immediate response. I will try my best to carry out this project with the best of my ability. Probably, I think that I should mention the industry and take a hypothetical example of a company or something similar. I want to really learn from this project so that it adds value to my course. So, let me see what I can do.
But thanks a lot once again for your suggestion and assistance.
