Dear love,
This seems fake at first sight because there are no identities, but the format is sufficient, right?
For more clarity, please specify: What is the purpose behind knowing its authenticity? Why are you getting confused about this?

Hi,
It's not a fake slip. To check more in detail if the person has provided the PF number on the payslip, you can inquire at the PF office about the PF number's validity. Secondly, you can ask for the bank statement of Axis Bank where the salary is being deposited.
Regards,
Madhu 😉😉😉

Dear Love, You may cross check the same as Madhu said. Or you can send the said payslip photocopy to the previous company of the same employee for authenticity. tnx uc
It seems to be fake because some figures are not justifiable. For instance, the percentage of HRA to Basic comes around 76+%. An employee can be reimbursed for his house rent to whatever extent the employer likes, but when it comes to HRA, normally it will not be at such a high rate, and also the percentage cannot be a fraction.
In a pay register, when a subhead like "other Allowance" appears, normally, where the employee is a PF contributor, the concerned EPF officials may question it on the ground that the allowance in the form of DA is to be considered for EPF calculation, and in the absence of its clarification, there is every chance of 'other allowance' being taken as part of salary for the purpose of PF by the EPF officials.
The percentage of TDS is also disputable. There is also the possibility of it being genuine as there may be organizations that pay higher HRA and other allowances like that shown. We cannot question it at all!

Dear Srilatha,
It's not concerned with the background verification, but I think the HRA is too high for this person, so I was in doubt. Can you check on that? Also, the percentage of TDS is an issue. Please check.

Hi, Madhu.
We never asked for the statement of banks earlier. Is it a must? I have checked the PF number; it's not fake. But the figures and percentages seem correct, I suppose, except for the HRA and TDS. Please check.
Thanks and regards.

Hi,
If you have doubts about the authenticity of the payslip, it is advisable to ask the candidate to provide his bank statement from Axis Bank. Ask him which branch the salary is credited to and verify with the bank.

Dear Madhu,
I agree with Madhu because, in addition to her view, the basic salary rate is too low. Normally, it's up around 60% - 70%. You should ask the bank and accounts department of the employee's company. We don't need to ask about every single detail of each individual, but where we have doubts, we must clarify those doubts.

Hi everybody,
It is very difficult to say whether it is a fake slip or not. If you need confirmation, please ask the candidate to produce a salary certificate along with the annual benefits, duly signed by the authorized signatory. Alternatively, you can ask him to produce his latest Form 16.
Asking a person for his bank statement will not look nice, as no one would like to share their financial bank statement with anyone.

Hi,
Please don't ask for a bank statement because an employer has no statutory right to request one's bank statement. Even if you have the individual's bank account number, you cannot obtain details from the bank as they are required to maintain customer account confidentiality. Additionally, a banker is obligated to adhere to the Bankers' Books Evidence Act. Therefore, it is solely the employer's discretion to accept or reject the details provided by a candidate. You may seek clarifications on matters such as the percentage of House Rent Allowance (HRA) to Basic, the significance of other allowances, or reasons for high Tax Deducted at Source (TDS).
In case you are unsatisfied with the response, it is advisable to escalate the matter to higher authorities or the Managing Director to safeguard your position. The final decision lies with them on whether to acknowledge the candidate's previous pay or not. If you are in a position to make the decision, it is crucial to be direct and assertive, stating, "I believe the pay indicated in the slip appears inflated, and hence, I cannot accept it as is."
As it is an electronic statement, there is no requirement for a signature and/or company seal.

Hi,
This might not be the original payslip since the original payslips are usually in .pdf format, so that no updates can be made. The posted payslip is in Word format, which makes it easy to manipulate. Please ask him to send a soft copy in PDF format.
Cheers,
Sandhya

Why don't you ask the candidate for his appointment letter and appraisal letter? You can then verify them with his company. I hope that will be helpful. You can't judge if the salary slip is fake or original just by looking at it because every company has different criteria for salary breakdown.

Asking for an appointment order issued by a previous employer is meaningless because a mere appointment order does not indicate whether the individual had joined or not. A candidate may receive an appointment letter, but they are not obligated to join or serve the establishment.
Similarly, an appraisal letter is the outcome of appraisal formalities that occur confidentially and is issued as a follow-up to the initial order. If it is available, that's beneficial. However, as an employer, you are not expected to request it for reference from a candidate.

Hi Friends!
I am sharing my observations and views:
1. The PF no. MH/121033/00203 wherein '121033' is code allotted to the principal employer. I haven't seen a 6-digit code allotted to the employer. (Please correct me if I am wrong).
2. Medical Reimbursement: 1250. Usually, a salary slip has allowances included. Reimbursements are not part of the salary. They can be part of CTC but are paid through vouchers supported by bills. If it were Medical Allowance, it would have been okay.
3. The last line 'This is a computer-generated statement and requires no signature' does not look grammatically correct. Such a line cannot be part of a good company's salary slip.
Your views on the above points are requested, please.

There can be 31 working days, and if one takes CL, EL, or any other leave other than LOP, then the slip will show 31 days (means a full month without any LOP). EPF No. may have six digits. It all depends on the number of establishments within the Regional/Sub-regional office of the concerned EPF Organisation. Medical Reimbursement need not be a voucher payment. If, however, it is shown on the payslip, then it is usually shown as added to the NET salary and not as GROSS.

Hi,
Since it's an electronic statement, you can't judge it. If you want to check the salary slip status, send a copy of that to the previous employer and do a verification check. It's a simple and effective solution, so you can go for it.

Hi,
There are a few basic things to check in case of payslips. Please do that and you will find out the truth:
- Basic & HRA percentage
- PF amount shown in the deduction amount
- Month, number of working days, and leaves
- TAX calculations
Anybody can make manipulations in a payslip, so you need to verify with the appointment letters and make a reference check too.
Hope this helps.

Dear Lovecupid, quite a name!!!
No doubt it is a fake payslip on every count. There are no identifications provided, and the percentage of HRA seems questionable. Even if it is a computer-generated statement, if it is supposed to be an official document, it should be signed by an authority who is authorized to issue it. Questions arise about the office it is from and the purpose of this document. What is this all about? What is your actual intention?
Thank you.

I agree with Hithen.
As I said earlier, any existing organization, its departments, should carry its logo, seals, name, etc., pivotal. Unsigned papers without proper authentications and authority are useless. Whether they are generated by computer, handwritten, printed, etc.
Medical reimbursement is not part of the salary. The expenditure incurred is reimbursed generally, and it is not wise for any company or government to make it part of the salary.

Hi Latha,
Please look into the other 3 months' pay slips as well, and cross-check them with the recent hike letters for the candidate. If there is consistency in the salary as per the hike letters, kindly cross-check with the bank statements.

Dear Sir,
I want to take a personal loan, but I am only getting Rs 8500. Therefore, I am unable to secure a personal loan from any banks in Bangalore. A friend of mine mentioned that there are some agencies in Bangalore that assist in obtaining personal loans by using fake certificates.
Could you please provide me with contact numbers of some agencies in Bangalore?
