I am an HR Manager. One employee of my organization wants to deduct more than 24% on the basic for EPF contribution.

1) Should I take an application from that employee?
2) Do I have to inform the EPF office about the same? Is there any form for that?
3) How to calculate ECR? (I need a sample of ECR for VPF)
4) Are there any other formalities for VPF?

Take application from employee for VPF and put the calculation in ECR under VPF , its simple not a big task.

Dear HR Beldih,

1. Intimation is not required to the EPF office, and the form is also not available.
2. Take the VPF declaration from the employee regarding how much he/she wants to contribute - that amount will affect his/her take-home pay.
3. VPF Contributions can be stopped at any time.
4. Employer (ER) VPF contributions will not be payable; only the employee can contribute from his/her salary.
