Hi there,

I was working at, let's say, X company's payroll. After 2 years of joining the company, I was deputed to, let's say, Y company. Now, I have left X company as things were not going well with Y company. I received a proper relieving letter and experience letter from X company.

My question is, do background verification companies also contact the deputed company's HR during verification? Furthermore, after submitting my resignation, I informed X company that I wouldn't work for Y company anymore. If there is any other work available, I would be happy to do it.

Dear Friend,

Background verification can be done by contacting the company you were deputed to, and it can also be conducted with your current company.

Hi Akhil,

Thanks for the answer. My tenure with X company is "2 years 9 months," and I was deputed with Y company for only "5 months." Do you think a future company may contact Y company for verification? What is the standard industry procedure to verify deputation information?

Thank you.

Dear Friend,

Whether to conduct a background verification or not, and if so, by whom, is entirely up to your employer. They have the authority to carry out your background check even through your neighbors.

Thank you.
