ESIC has made it compulsory that:
Mandatory Submission of Mobile Number and Bank Account Details for Registration Under ESIC:
ESIC, via circular No: F.No. I-11/13/04/2020-ICT, has mandated the submission of mobile numbers and bank account details (Bank name, Branch name, and IFSC) effective from 1st July 2020 for the registration of employees under ESIC. According to the circular, Employers are required to update the mobile numbers and bank account details of existing employees registered under the ESI Scheme. Cash benefits/Claim reimbursements will be settled only if the correct bank account details of the beneficiary are available in the system. Manuals regarding the changes will soon be available on the ESIC website. With these changes, ESIC ensures that insured persons receive benefits such as hospitalization and monetary benefits seamlessly without any hassle.
