Company asking to resign without 1 month notice - Is this legal, what step can we take to challenge this?

I am an employee of a private firm and working in a senior position. My company asked me and my team members to resign amid lockdown and not even giving a 1-month notice. Is this legal? What step can we take to challenge this?
