As I am the only person looking after the HR department, I want to learn all labor laws very clearly so that I can provide firm answers to the employees without any hesitation. Please help me with this. It would be really great if you could share your insights on this. Don't expect to become an expert in HR/IR and labor law using capsules. There are different forums on citehr, each of which will provide you with knowledge in the respective area. Law is a vast subject. Therefore, without passion, you cannot excel in it. What is essential is commitment; the rest will follow automatically.

What is needed is a solution that addresses your immediate problem. Members used to call me for updates. I then questioned why I should endure the effort of creating points and sharing them. Repeated question word by word. Acquiring knowledge of all labor laws is different from practical implementation. When you get exposed to practical labor issues, you will learn it effectively.

Industrial Relations (IR) is one of the major facets in HR management. IR management is such that it cannot be predicted, unlike other areas of management. Rather, it is correct to say that IR management is situational management. You need to use appropriate tools to tackle problems/situations. One tool used to solve one IR problem may not be the correct one to deal with the second problem. As far as Labour Laws are concerned, it is an ocean. Eminent people who are practicing it still feel that they are only boys/girls standing at the bank of this "ocean."
Once you practice as an HR executive and climb up the ladder of your career (in different companies), you shall automatically come to know the various aspects of Labour Management and Laws.
