Hello everyone, I am facing challenges in managing the working shifts as there are three shifts that are running in my company:
1) Morning shift 6:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m
2) Evening shift 3:00 p.m to 11:00 p.m
3) General Shift 9:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m
The issue is that the employees of the second shift face a traveling problem. If they want to travel on a working day, they have to apply for half a day or leave because the transport facility runs until 10:30 p.m. at night. Please guide me on how to resolve this issue.

Hi,
Please see if you can introduce a permission system so that employees who are traveling may be given 1-2 hours of permission to start their travel from the office.
Also, consider revising the second shift timing to 2 pm to 10 pm. However, any issues regarding the overlapping time between the first and second shifts, as well as system availability, should be addressed.
Thank you.

Hi,
Take an analysis for the past 6 months. What is the percentage of employees availing half a day leave for travel purposes? If the percentage is on the higher side, then you need to rework your shift timings. If the percentage is negligible, then just leave it.
Another alternative is that for employees traveling on that particular day, change their shift to the first shift or General shift (subject to feasibility, technical Heads to approve).
