First, you have to determine if the employee is covered under EPF (Employee Provident Fund) and other benefits. If your employee was previously a member of EPF, then he will remain a member of EPF even if their basic salary is out of PF coverage. You can deduct his PF on Rs 15,000. However, if his age is 58+ or he has never been a member of the EPF scheme previously, then he can be exempt from the EPF scheme.
