One of my employees had given resignation on 1.4.2017, and the Form 10 for him was filled. However, he has not yet withdrawn his fund. He is now willing to rejoin. So, is it possible to take his name again in the Muster roll keeping the same UAN? Or will we have to treat him as a new employee and start again with the basics? As he had not withdrawn funds, I would like to know the correct step. Please guide me for both PF as well as ESIC since more than a year has passed since his name was removed from ESIC due to resignation.

You have to issue a new joining letter and complete all the facilities again as, for the past year, your organization has not been making any contributions to ESIC and PF departments on their behalf.

Thank you, Samsheerji. However, the employee has not withdrawn his fund. As per your perspective, if everything needs to be redone, how could one employee have 2 UANs? Since the employee has not withdrawn his fund, his UAN still exists in the PF.
