What is the nature of the activity carried out? Registered under which act? Find out the applicable Karnataka Minimum Wages as per the List of Scheduled Employments. Maintain basic and VDA as per Minimum Wages Notification for 2017-18. Salary paid in excess of Minimum Wages can be split under other nomenclatures like HRA, CA, Education Allowance, Special Allowance, Medical Allowance, etc., to give maximum IT benefit to employees.

Being a private limited company, you can opt for your own salary structure. However, as stated by Mr. Sai Ram, maintain the total of Basic wages and VDA of MW. This is because every five years, the basic and VDA are bound to be refixed by the government, which will have an impact on the structure.
