Dear All,
Our organization has 5-6 branches in Delhi. We are also covered under ESIC and have obtained the ESIC CODE for the Head Office, which is also located in the Delhi region. Last week, an ESIC officer and inspector visited one of our Delhi branch offices (Rohini) and requested us to apply for an ESIC Sub Code for the Rohini branch. However, we already have the ESIC Code for the Delhi Region (Head Office). So, is it compulsory to register our another branch in Delhi?
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Anisha Mittal

Hi,
ESIC employees will guide us to get the subcode for the branch because of judicial reasons. Whatever it is, please obtain the subcode online by using the main code and password. It's a matter of 10 minutes, right.

Hello,
The ESIC Act is applicable to each establishment separately. However, there is no need to apply for a sub-code for one city if the Branch office is the same for all your branches.
I personally find it difficult to understand the purpose of applying for subcodes in the same city as it seems redundant. Since the request has come from the ESIC authorities themselves, it is advisable to approach them and request to accommodate your Delhi employees under one code only.
Please keep us informed about any further developments on this matter.

Hi Anisha Mittal,
As per the ESIC Act, if you are covered under the same Regional Office, you do not need to take any sub-code. You can update all covered employees in your main code, make the contributions, and show the registers when the ESIC Inspector visits your office.

My registered office is in Delhi, and I have an ESIC code from Delhi. I applied for PSARA license renewal for the Haryana Region. However, the Haryana Authority requires an ESI Sub code. Could you please clarify how I can obtain the ESI sub-code for Haryana?
Please advise.
