Hi All,

I am an HR professional at a Corporate Hospital and I need advice. If an employee has been issued a termination letter for misbehaving with our EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, and if he or she doesn't sign it and walks away, and it has been 3 months with no news from him or her, what should HR do in this case? Kindly advise, please.

Hi Sunita, Is this a sexual harassment which you are referring to? If so, how was this case taken up? Do you have a committee in your organization?

In order to ensure that he can't come and claim his job later, you need to send the termination notice to his residence by registered post AD. Also, you need to prepare the backup documents and files to show that the termination was for a valid reason and that a domestic inquiry was conducted.

Hello!!!

It is termination!!! Legally, before a termination letter is issued, charges should have been established in a domestic enquiry, and misconducts concluded. I suggest you simply strike her name from the muster roll, mentioning that she has abandoned her employment without giving any clue of her whereabouts. You may write to me for a strategic plan and action.
