Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to know about sabbatical leave, when it is applicable, and whether I am eligible for this kind of leave. I have completed one month and I took a holiday for 2 weeks. Now, my company told me that they will not provide me salary for this month. Please help me.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Amir,

No company would grant leave, especially for a holiday of fifteen days, immediately upon joining. It is essential to adhere to office discipline, which includes punctuality, regular attendance, and commitment to work. Sabbatical leave is typically granted to employees who have worked for several years in a company, often for reasons such as health issues, travel abroad, pursuing higher education, etc., with the understanding that they will return to continue serving the organization.

Thank you.

I am surprised you still even have your job. If you went off on unauthorized leave of 15 days after working for a month, most companies would have terminated you long before. Instead, I would suggest you focus on work, work sincerely, and prove to them that you are worth keeping as an employee.
