Dear Chellappa,

Your questions are very simple and basic, just requiring self-help. Please go through the relevant Act and Rules to try to find the answers on your own, which I hope will enhance your understanding.

Dear experts,

My query is: We have a corporate office in Chennai, which falls under the Shops and Establishment Act, and the employees become eligible for leave as per the Act. Since our establishment is in the construction industry, many of our staff/engineers work at various sites at client locations both inside and outside Tamil Nadu.

What will be the leave procedure to be followed for those site staff (either EL as per the Factory Act, or EL/SL/CL as per the Shops and Establishment Act)?
