Hi, I have a total of 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, but I have not been working for a year and a half. I had to quit my job after my wedding. Now, I am quite eager to join as an EA, but I am not getting selected simply because of the long gap. What should I do? It's demotivating me, just because I am now married or for any other reason. A long gap in my job doesn't mean I have forgotten how to work. I can still give my best.

During the interview, you can ask the potential employer to take a practical demo of your skills. Tell them that you can demonstrate your skills in office administration, guiding, and training lower clerical staff, etc. Employers will be careful and double-check when there are such gaps in work experience; that is a normal procedure. With the motivation you have, I am sure that a good office job opportunity will come your way. Highlight your achievements in your CV and keep trying.
