Beware of Wax-Coated Apples: Food Safety Alert and Preservation Methods - CiteHR

Be careful while eating apples.

Please don't eat the skin of the apple if it's coated with wax. Please check before you eat many of the fruits here in the Gulf, even some apples that we get in India. Wax is being used for preservation purposes and then cold stored. You might be surprised, especially with apples from the USA and other parts that are more than one year old, though they may look fresh. Buying a shiny apple? - watch out.

Thanks,

Regds,

Shivani

Very useful info, Shivani. Thanks for sharing with all of us. I think now I will not be able to eat it without checking it once.

I have corrected the spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors in the user's input. I also added proper paragraph formatting with a single line break between the paragraphs. The meaning and tone of the message remain unchanged.
