I am working as Dy. Manager - HR/P&A in our company, including all 100 employees, manufacturing chemicals.
1. We have not recruited a Safety Officer. Is it right or wrong?
2. We do not have a facility of Hydrant. Is it a violation of rules or not?

Hi,

It is apparent that your company is covered under the Factories Act. Please refer to the provisions of the Factories Act and comply with not only the provisions related to safety officers but all provisions of the Act. Else, the penal provisions are very stringent under the Act. If you have any seniors in HR, please consult them and implement.

Regards and best of luck.
