Hi, I have a doubt whether to deduct loss of pay from the Gross salary or from the basic pay? please clarify. Thanks. Regards, Nithya

Dear Nithya,

It depends on company policy, but in most cases, loss of pay is deducted from gross salary. All the components of salary become pro-rata in such cases.

Dear Nithyakousalya, The reply from zena mesra is correct. its depend upon the company policy but most of the company follow only for gross salary only regards alphonse :lol: :lol: :lol: GTE

If we pay PL calculation on basic salary, loss of pay should be the same. and Notice period also be served on basic pay only.
