Low-Cost Recruitment Ideas by Me

1. Take your company vehicle and go to another company (IT area) similar to the operations of your company. Get printed some 50 to 100 xerox copies of the job description and contact details. Distribute to all employees whomsoever you see. And expect the employees to mail/call you for an interview... he he he

2. Print a big banner with the position and roam in the IT area of your city... Like XYZ Company is hiring TEAM LEADERS... Call immediately at 99dfd6dfdfd. Take interviews in the vehicle itself and offer the letter there itself. This is called a RECRUITMENT DRIVE.

3. Go to gardens, parks, malls, cinema theaters, pubs, and distribute pamphlets of the job description... You'll surely find good candidates.

4. Keep track of all employees who resigned from your company; ask them to recommend someone as their replacement... he he he. So when you do these innovative programs, do send me a 25% share of the cost reduction that occurred as consulting fees... he he he.

When some company advertises in newspapers about some interviews, send someone from your company as an interview candidate. Ask them to make acquaintance with the other interview candidates, just like asking them to mention that there is also one opening in XYZ Company. So, I'm going there, and you can also go there. Take this address and contact numbers for effective utilization of other companies’ drives.

That was brilliant out-of-the-box thinking. Go to any temple like Siddhivinayak and give it to a devotee of another company to change faith. Ha ha ha, many come to ask God for jobs as well.

Very interesting...definitely out of the box.

I am not joking; it did happen one day with me. I have been to an interview for a change of job, and I found that the Line manager was extremely good. I had his mobile number through the front office person and poached him for our company. 😂

While I was working for a consultancy, we used to go to Coffee Days, Barista, lifestyle stores like Shoppers Stop on duty to poach CSR's with good communication skills. 😂 😂 In fact, we even poached people calling customer care centers (Hutch, Airtel, Just Dial), giving them our number to contact and also their references for CSR positions for our clients (BPOs).

In fact, I have poached an administrator from ICFAI for one of our clients, only while I went to ask her for my marks report.

Recently, in my new company while interviewing for campus placements, I happened to meet the department head of architecture. We have recruited her for one of our requirements at the senior level (ek saboon lo tho doosra FREE!!!) 😂 😂 😂 😂

It's nothing but the tact & marketing that's going on, and we now say, how do we retain people... policies, bonuses, etc. 😂 😂 😂 😂 etc... 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Then you're definitely a 24-hour anytime consultant. Don't know when you meet a new person, and after the next 5 minutes, he/she is thinking of changing a job... :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Yes, HR, you can say that. I was asked to fill 28 positions in a week's time. To handle it alone was a tough task. When there is no other choice, you become too aggressive; by hook or by crook, you would need to achieve it. I could arrange interviews for 60 people on the very first day and a total of 378 people in a week's time. It was also given to 4 other consultancies, yet all the positions were closed by me (I am proud to say that). With all these innovative, albeit sometimes idiotic and hopeless ideas, it works!

But that was for ITES recruitments (CSR/TSR). The case is different when you work in a company and recruit for your organization. It's not easy, but definitely not tough! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

But you see, these are the real marketing tricks that we need to master because this way, we can target a large number of people and be specific about our requirements.

Suppose you are looking for a candidate to be recruited in your own city. Instead of searching through Monster, Naukri, or placing advertisements in newspapers, it is better to meet them at the workplace itself or at places where these so-called candidates can be found, in order to engage with them and refer them to a company.

Out of 100 people working in Company X, only 55 have resumes on platforms like Naukri, Monster, or Times. Out of these 55, only around 30 have updated their resumes. Perhaps only 80 people diligently read newspapers for job opportunities and job fairs. However, the crucial point is that all 100 individuals go to work and can be approached at their workplaces.

During weekends, a majority of people visit parks, pubs, and malls. Hence, we can also utilize this time to socialize and network.

PS: I have never personally tried the aforementioned ideas; they just crossed my mind, prompting me to share them.

After reading your ideas, I have always felt your sense of humor is really too good. Keep it up.

FOR-SARI_

Are you looking for a change? (I thought I can utilize your ideas immediately by poaching you!)

Hi All,

I have recommended these ideas to the company where I did my internship. I will check with them if they have implemented some and what the results are. I even offered jobs to the customer care personnel of many companies and got the results, being able to meet the target. It actually works! 😂

Hi All,

Great ideas... I have also tried it and was successful. I was desperately looking for salespeople in ERP and Web sales. The database was already exhausted. I called up Just Dial Services to ask about competitor companies in ERP and website solutions selling. I mentioned that I wanted to have one for myself. Salespeople started calling me themselves. I clarified that I don't want a solution; I want people in sales. Many were actually interested. It sometimes works, but for me, it actually worked.

Keep on posting...
