As everyone is aware, the Cine Workers Welfare Fund Act of 1981 provides for ESI coverage. I am inquiring if there is any specific act or amendment for television workers (i.e., workers involved in tele serials) that covers ESI.
If so, kindly assist me.

Thank you very much for your posting. At least I came to know from your posting that there is an enactment called "Cine - Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1981". Because of your posting, I also came to know that there is a "Cine - Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1981".
However, I wish to tell you that Cine - Workers, including preview theaters, are not excluded from coverage of the ESI Scheme. Cine - Workers, including preview theaters, are very much covered under the ESI Scheme.

Your question is whether television workers (i.e., tele serials based workers) are covered under ESI or not. The answer to your question is that the workers engaged in Cine & T.V. serial Production Houses/Studios and Sets are covered under the ESI Scheme.
