If the Basic + DA is less than Rs.10,000/-, then the employee is eligible for a bonus. Some companies also pay a bonus to those who earn more than Rs.10,000/- per month. For the Managerial Cadre, companies provide the same bonus under the name of Ex Gratia.

Dear All Friends,

I am a Manager (HR & Admin.) in a Private Limited Company that engages regular as well as contract labor. Please inform me whether a permanent employee working in a company that is more than 5 years old is eligible for a bonus under the condition that his Basic + DA is less than Rs. 10,000/- and his Gross salary is more than Rs. 10,000/-.

Please advise me.
