Hi,

If the number of employees is 20 or more, then the company is required to be registered under the PF and ESI Act. Therefore, it is possible that the number of employees would be less than 20.

Dear Amit,

I have a small query. If the number of employees is more than 100, is it not compulsory to implement PF? Is it up to the company's discretion to decide whether to implement it or not? Your clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Saradhi

Well , To get registered with PF authoroties is right once U cross the limit of 20. But PF is not a compulsion for every employees . It is optional if the basic salry crosses Rs 6500 . regards, Tikam
