Dear All,

This is my own PF withdrawal case. When I first changed my job from company A to company B, I transferred my PF. Then when I shifted from company B to company C (my present company), I filled out a withdrawal form under the impression that I will get both my Company A and B PF amounts. Later, after a number of follow-ups, I got to know that my company B withdrawal is stuck due to the first transfer from A to B not being done. Now, when I received my PF amount after 2 years, I realized it's nowhere near the combined amounts from companies A & B that I was expecting. That means I have only received my Company B PF withdrawal.

Please suggest what I should do in such a case. Kindly note that I joined my first company A in 2003 and left in 2006. The PF Regional offices for these two companies are also different.

Looking forward to your inputs so that I can take appropriate actions in the right direction.

Thanks,
Harshada

Dear Harshada, Had ur PF amount of company A has been transferred to company B? If not then pl apply seperately for PF withdrawl from company A in the concerned PF office.

Dear Harsh,

In addition to Mr. Singh's advice, I would like to add that instead of wandering, you must file an RTI to the concerned EPFO detailing the whole situation with evidence. The whole picture will be clear within 1 or 2 months.

Thanks & Regards,
Sumit

How will somebody know if their PF has been transferred? I mean, is there a provision on the PF site where we can check the status of the transfer, or do PF officials inform the employee upon the transfer of the PF amount?
