Dear All Seniors,

Please let me know the full details about leaves of employees, the formula to calculate the leaves, the difference between CL, PL, and SL. As per labor law, what are the procedures to calculate leaves? Does leave calculation occur on a working hour basis? Which leaves are carry forward, encashable, and which lapse?

Please do let me know how to calculate the leaves at the time of F & F settlement. What is the eligibility for getting PL and SL, and what are the parameters? How many CL, PL, and SL are provided to an employee for the whole year?

If an employee works on holidays also in a 24-hour working plant such as sugar mills, will he be eligible to receive double salary for that day?

What is the procedure to get a bonus?

Please provide suggestions; I am really in need.

Dear Seema,

Regarding Full and Final settlement, only PL (Privilege Leave) is encashed. The remaining PL mentioned in the records is encashed at the time of full and final settlement. PL is encashed based on the basic amount the employee is receiving at the time of leaving the organization. CL (Casual Leave) and SL (Sick Leave) are not encashed during the Full and Final Settlement.

I hope this information helps.

Best regards,
