Hi, I worked in Mumbai for 1 year and now I'm working in Bangalore. I would like to withdraw my PF from when I worked in Mumbai. Do I have to go to Mumbai to withdraw it, or can I go to a PF office in Bangalore and apply for the PF.

Hi, M. Peer Mohamed Sardhar,
I have not yet received the answer to my query. I worked in Mumbai for 1 year, and now I'm working in Bangalore. I would like to withdraw my PF from when I worked in Mumbai. Do I have to go to Mumbai to withdraw it, or can I go to a PF office in Bangalore and apply for the PF? In Bangalore, I need to meet a freelancer who said that he has sent my PF forms to my office in Mumbai, but there is no reply as yet. Please let me know what I have to do.
Thanks,
Amanda

Hi Amanda,
There is no need for you to go to Mumbai for your PF withdrawal, as it can be done by filling up the PF form. You can approach the accounts department; they have agents working for them for PF accounts. You can give that form to them, and they will charge a minimum amount.
There is one option in which way you want your PF amount to be given: cash payment or through bank payment. You should fill up your bank account number and the bank name; it will get deposited into your account.

Hi,
If you are relieved properly, you can apply for a transfer, which is 100% legal. This would also help you to get the years accumulated for Pension.
The other way, though not fully legal, is to submit the claim form to your old company, and they would send it to the local office and would be sent to you. For this, you need to give your bank statement/passbook xerox. The amount would be directly credited to your account.
