The concept of Behavior-Based Safety is based on the realization that more than 90% of lapses in safety can be attributed to human causes and inappropriate or unsafe behavior. By sensitizing people about safety and addressing the psychological/behavioral aspects involved in safety, organizations and individuals can create a safer and more secure work environment.

The various industry-wide standards dealing with safety, such as OHSAS, ISO, and NEBOSH, also require Behavior-Based Safety as a key prerequisite for certification and compliance.

Dear Mr. Rushabh,

Greetings of the day!

I am a Pune-based corporate safety trainer conducting trainings for industries and corporates on various safety topics, including fire fighting, first aid, evacuation mock drills, basic safety orientation, basic electrical safety, workplace ergonomics, and more.

Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) is a crucial concern for industries, as you rightly pointed out that more than 85% of accidents can be attributed to unsafe acts or behaviors. I also conduct awareness programs on BBS.

I would be grateful if I could be of assistance.

Thanks & Regards,
