Dear ikjot2004,

Safety system audit checklist attached. If you are looking for equipment checklist, you have to refer to the operation and maintenance manuals of your equipment to find out dos and don'ts and important checkpoints. You can then derive daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly checkpoints comprehensively.

Hope this is useful.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear All,

I am new to this website and I am working as a deputy management representative in an automobile industry located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Now, we are in the process of implementing the ISO 14001 system in our organization. I request, please send me the details of hazardous waste identification methods during storage inside the factory.

Dear Senthil,

Considering ISO 14001, you need to focus on the following:

1. Things that are linked with air, water, and land (i.e., the environment).
2. How these elements react with the surrounding environment. For example, air emissions (exhaust from generators), water disposal (sewage and industrial effluent), etc.
3. Additionally, you need to consider the chemicals used throughout the operation and their safest disposal as outlined by local laws and regulations.
4. Your entire process should involve capturing activities and items related to the environment (land, air, water, flora, and fauna) in a manner that does not harm the environment and is safe for the environment in all activities (usage and disposal, etc.).

Best wishes

Dear Cite HR Members,

Usually, these types of checklists remain with the EHS department only. However, the operational department personnel should also be made aware of these aspects. Additionally, the administration department and Company Secretary should ensure that the checklists are strictly adhered to.

A team effort will ensure safety, health, and a good environment in the organization.

Dr. Raj Mohan
