Dear All,
I want to know, as per the new notification of the EDLI scheme dated 08/01/2011 regarding the increase in the limit from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 130,000, how should we calculate the benefits in the following situations:
1) If a member died 5 days after registering with EPF.
2) If a member died after 3 years of service.
Is there any specific service period required to avail the benefits of EDLI?
Your valuable response in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Sunil Sharma, Only one day attendance will do to avail EDLI. For the above two cases, the EDLI amount will be 20xsalary, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 1,30,000. Abbas.P.S
