Dear Seniors,
Kindly advise as I am trying to get my PF account transferred from my last organization for the past two years through our PF-ESI consultant. Does the PF office take so much time to process the PF transfer? My case involves transferring a Delhi account to a Gurgaon account, and the transfer was initiated in September 2011.
Please advise on what steps to take. Is it still advisable to withdraw the PF money, or should I have more patience until the transfer is complete?
Your help is much appreciated!

Hi Sashmita,
There are chances of a delay from the PF department. It is better if you approach the department and check the status. If there is still a delay, then you might not receive interest on your PF. One more thing, it is better to transfer funds rather than withdraw. :)
Thank you.

Dear Sashmita,
First of all, you need to check with your consultant where he/she has deposited Form 13, in the Gurgaon Office or Delhi Office. After that, you need to check the status of your Form 13 with the concerned RPFC and collect the required information. You can also check the PF transfer status online.
One more thing, you need to transfer your PF accumulation instead of withdrawing it. In PF transfer, the RPFC will consider your previous service tenure for a pension benefit period of 10 years.

Thank you so much for your response.
To add on, if the same amount has been deposited in the Gurgaon PF office in September 2011, and my last leaving date was July 15, 2010, will I be receiving interest on my old PF amount?
As per the online status, it shows transferred. However, I haven't received any communication/document regarding this.
Please advise.

Hi Sashmita,
You will get interest until 36 months from your date of leaving. After that, your account will be treated as an inoperative account. If it shows transferred, then you need to collect Annexure K for your reference and take necessary action from RPFC Delhi.

Hi,
If it is showing as transferred online, then it would have been done. You will not receive any communication regarding that. Do you think they are working so sincerely, and is it a private organization to update the status whenever there are any changes? Never expect those updates from the PF department.
Thanks for the changes in all the government departments for making things online. Soon, we will receive all the updates on our mobiles whenever there are any changes and contributions too.

Sushmita, you can file an RTI to inquire about your PF status. Form 13 typically takes around 30 days for interstate transfer and 15 days for transfers within the same state. This information is based on what I learned from my cousin, who works as a PF enforcement officer.

Dear all,
One of my staff wants to take a PF loan. As I know, a person who has completed 5 years of experience can take a PF loan. However, I wanted to know the procedure for getting a PF loan. If there have been any amendments, please let me know.
Please help me.

Thank you, seniors, for all your valuable inputs and information! I would either visit the PF office or try to get it through our consultant. Kindly advise on the transferred amount of PF. Does PF pay interest on all the amounts in the account or only on the amount contributed by the current employer? If someone continues the pension account and withdraws the PF amount, does this make the PF member eligible for a pension after retirement? Please advise!
