Dear All,

This is Preeti Sharma. As per frequent demand from our employees, we are going to develop a Saturday off policy in the company. Currently, we work 6 days a week from 10 am to 6.30 pm. I want to introduce a Saturday off. Can you please help me develop this policy? I also want to convince both management and employees with valid reasons.

Thanks & Regards,
Preeti Sharma

Hi Preethi,

Is management aware that you are planning for 5 days a week instead of 6 days a week? If so, then you shall revise the office timings to 9:00-6:30 or even 9:30-6:30. If you can brief us on your leave policy, that should also be revised, and the Earned Leave (EL) shall be reduced. :)

Hi,

My management is aware of this plan, but they need a valid reason. We can change the timing, but Saturday off is required. The company's nature is hospitality; at least the office staff should be able to avail of this policy.

We need to establish some policy.

Thanks & Regards,

Preeti Sharma

The valid reason is the employee itself. You said, as there is frequent demand from all the employees. Using this statement, you shall approach. If not, there are chances of employee turnover. You shall advise the management that this 5-day option will motivate employees. I am not able to understand what policy you are looking for. Moreover, you shall even extend work timing for another 30 minutes a day and shall reduce the EL and other leaves.
