To all those folks who are acting as HRs, I have a direct question for you all. Please reply with some social consciousness; do not try to act like a self-righteous person. I came to the city with a dream of making a mark in the IT sector, gained enough skills—in fact, more than enough. I started applying to companies, days were passing, and not even a single call. I questioned myself, where the hell are these companies putting my resumes? But patiently, I began applying to each one of them. Nearly, I have uploaded my resume to 500 companies, including stupid MNCs. What could be worse than this, huh?
Am I that worthless that I am not even eligible for a single interview?
Many of your companies prefer on-campus over off-campus. Then what about the people who are from a lesser-known college but are skilled enough?
Your requirements don't even match with students' qualifications. For example, I have been to an interview where a candidate who has a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is called for the position of software trainee. WTF, that's awfully weird. Don't you have any common sense?
Why the preference for B.Tech graduates over MCA graduates when MCAs are superior in terms of programming?
Do you have any idea how pathetic a fresher's life is? No, right? I'll show you the dirty picture then.
As a fresher, he is forced to practice some stupid mathematical stuff rather than programming concepts. Many of them are joining institutes especially for this.
Even if he is in the company, he is being asked to pay security deposits. Now, please don't say that your company is not going to charge; we are tired of hearing that stuff, so please don't give us that. Now, the question is: you people blow out some moral stuff if someone is faking experience, but where does all your morality go when companies are doing illegal things? Don't you have social responsibility?
Overexploitation is one of the great features of Indian IT companies. Here is a good example: one of your companies called me for an interview. During HR, I was asked whether I have any health problems; I said no. You would probably wonder why he asked. Two years of bond + 50000 security deposit + initial 3 months no salary, after that 5k salary. Since I desperately need a job, I agreed. But at the time of joining, I was informed that the minimum work hours are 12hrs. You've got to be kidding me. It's not employment; it's slavery. How do you justify this act?
If he completes his fresher time, he is doomed. He is sued, no one takes him as a fresher. Other options? Claiming fake experience is the only choice at hand.
So directly or indirectly, you people are encouraging us to claim fake experience. How do you justify this?
Your companies think you are on the path of self-righteousness, but the fact is you are on the path of overexploiting employees combined with a peanut salary when compared to US salaries.
And you know why all the product-based companies are from foreign countries? Because they encourage and give a chance to candidates regardless of which institute they belong to. Pure talent is what they want.
IF YOU FOLLOW BASIC ETHICS, ENCOURAGE PURE TALENT, I'M SURE THERE WILL BE ANOTHER INDIAN IBM, INDIAN ORACLE. Mark my words.
