Dear All,
Is there any format through which an HR can know the performance and other related activities of joinee so that at that at the end of probation period he has clear picture of joinees performance, and also the rerason is known and cross checkd if the joinee is not found suitable.
This format in my information will help an HR to have clear picture of the joinees assessment duting probation period, so that if the joinee is not confirmed during probation period same is reflected from formats collected during each month.
If there is any other assessment tool for new joinee's during probation period working kindly inform stepwise procedure.
This format may releive an HR from any biasy or ill feeling because of which at times probation period decisions are made.

In our Company, there is no particular format as such. We will send a note along with appraisal form to the respective department head for their recommendations on the staff performance during probation period. Based on their recommendations, we will issue a confirmation letter or probation period extension letter mentioning the areas for improvement.

i garee to the point that at the end of or few days back to probation period end the report of working and feedback & improvement are either in format or otherwise is send to concerned dept head and received back in form of feedback for necessary action.
but what i was thinking was in between feedbacks to keep follow up on woking and progress of candidate with his job profile and adabtability so that at the end of probation period you can sum compare with final report to make analysis at your end too for variane if any.( IN ADDITION)

There is a practice in most of the organisation of sending an appraisal form to the concern dept. at least 1 week before the completion probation period and an advice to return the same to HR dept. with their remark whether of confirmation or Probation extension to enable HR dept. to go ahead for further formalities.
In addition to above, in our company we are asking the dept. head to send us progress review report in prescribe format (Format send to Dept. at least 1 week before completion of 3 months) after completion of three months immediately from the date of joining to analyse job performance and to identify any training needs.

In fact i also wanted to work on it becuase we HR guys do not have any true picture of performance of staff whom we recruit and we have to reply on his superior or dept head.
I am not having right now, ut will work on it and fwd you as permy understanding.
