Dear All,
FYI,
2012 AMENDMENT TO THE MAHARASHTRA FACTORY RULES, 1967.
The Government of Maharashtra has amended the Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1967. The recent amendment came into effect from 3rd January 2012.
The following amendments have been made with immediate effect:
1) All payments of fees, filing of returns, applications for registration, renewal of licenses, notices, etc., under the Factories Act have to be filed electronically.
2) A monthly return has been introduced, which has to be filed electronically by the 10th of the next month in Form 27A along with the muster roll of all employees (names of employees, gross wages, deductions, net payment, etc.).
3) The annual return, which was required to be filed by 1st February, will now have to be filed by 10th January every year in the revised Form 27, covering in detail compliance with various provisions of the Act.
Kindly note: Upon inquiry with the DISH, it has been revealed that the necessary systems for initiating the procedures mentioned in the amendment will be in place from the month of March. This latest amendment, though it has simplified the process of filing returns electronically, has also, in turn, increased the need for stringent due diligence to be carried out monthly by companies/factories in Maharashtra.
Please refer to the attachment in the email for the entire amendment.
