Dear users,

Good morning. Can someone guide me on how to prepare the monthly general voucher of the salary regarding all deductions like ESI, PF, TDS, LWF, and other deductions? I am attaching the salary sheet of January month. Please, could you help me in preparing a general voucher? I would be grateful to you. Kindly provide me with a general voucher sheet based on the attached salary sheet.

This is a humble request to all of you.

Vikas Khattar,

Hi, where is Professional Deduction in the salary sheet?

Secondly, LWF is not deducted every month but only in June and December every year. Regarding vouchers, you can obtain them from the general store. You can ask for a cash voucher, which is printed, and then fill in the employee's name, amount details, and obtain their signature.

Preparing the salary journal voucher falls under the responsibilities of the accounts department. However, my organization is requiring me to handle it. That's why I am in need of the salary journal voucher. I have attached the salary sheet above. Could somebody please help me out?

Dear Sir,

As suggested above, the Salary General Voucher can be obtained at any general store. Please review the attached sheet. There is no PT deduction, and LWD is not supposed to be deducted every month - please verify the calculation and applicability (only twice a year, managers not included, etc).

Hi Dnyaneshwar,

Thank you for your suggestion. PT is not in Haryana state. According to the Haryana Welfare Act, the labor welfare fund will be deducted each month. I think what you mentioned above is in Maharashtra state. Every state has different labor laws.

Now, let's talk about the journal voucher of the salary sheet, in which we enter the employee-side welfare fund, PF, ESI contribution, and employer-side contributions too. This work is done by the accounting department, and they input this into the tally. I am only familiar with the manual format. If somebody has it, then please forward it according to the mentioned salary sheet.

Thanks
Regards
Vikas Khatter
