Hi Sundaram sir,
I apologize for the mistake in the previous communication that may have caused you any hurt feelings. I drafted the letter yesterday and sent it out. The version I sent was slightly different from the original, but it was well received by the organization as I presented it in an innovative way. Please feel free to correct me if there are any errors in the future.
Thanks and Regards,

It is really pathetic to see members asking for help with drafting letters. Are we not capable enough to draft a letter ourselves? How lethargic must we be if we can't even spend time doing a search? Let's take a moment to think about this.
Additionally, I humbly request to all members, please refrain from responding to these types of queries.

You are right, Khushi. Everyone knows that there is a search button, but for certain problems, that will not be of any help! Maybe he is new to the company and asking everyone for help. Why can't we help instead of discouraging him because he doesn't know how to draft a letter?

Really funny thoughts. What you have been taught in college. It is understood that no one in this world comes out from the mother's womb with full knowledge. My reply is not for people who have just come out of the mother's womb; it is for people who have undergone 20 years of education. We never want to try anything; everybody spoon-feeds us. We kill our own creativity.

I fully agree with you, Mr. Sardhar.
In almost all my previous postings, I have been highlighting this lack of application of English knowledge for day-to-day functioning. The steep decline in English usage, despite the language being taught from kindergarten level, is possibly due to the advent of mobile lingo. People have become so lazy that they don't want to remember what they studied in school. It is also a fact that most of those who make postings either have postgraduate qualifications or are MBA qualified.
People do not want to take a chance in writing a simple sentence and having it verified or checked by somebody in their office. They immediately rush to CiteHR as if people are waiting to receive samples of single-sentence letters. I don't foresee any improvement unless and until CiteHR implements a policy to discourage this kind of trend. Samples of complicated letters or letters with legal provisions, industrial relations implications, or HR policy-related queries are acceptable.
Compared to those in China, Japan, and other countries, thanks to the British rule of India over three centuries, Indians were proud that we were better off in terms of the English language. However, it seems it is no longer a source of pride for us, considering the current trend we observe here. Even B-schools do not prioritize this aspect since they are focused on revenue generation and producing students without a focus on quality.
Even God cannot save the country!

Dear M. Peer Mohamed Sardhar,
Just leave them alone. If you are not interested in helping, don't help, but let others help each other. Nobody is perfect, and everybody has drawbacks. Don't try to pinpoint others' mistakes, and ask yourself if you are right in all ways.
Happy Independence Day, Jai Hind.

They say that instead of catching and giving a fish to the needy every day, we should teach the man to catch fish. That is what we want to do here. One can always attempt to draft a letter, post it here, and seek help from seniors in correcting it. But what we see here is exactly the opposite. Everybody wants a fish on a plate, fried and masala added! In other words, they want to be spoon-fed. Most of us seniors here came from an era when computers, STD in telephones, and photocopiers were non-existent. How did we come to this stage? Did somebody drop English knowledge from the sky right into our heads? We do 'read' a lot, practice writing, make attempts to perfect the art of what we know, we never ran to such postings! Since my 15th age, I have been reading English novels and still have not stopped. I don't read only the page covering cricket in newspapers! We have not stopped learning.
Mr. John, by taking sides with those youngsters, you are doing a great disservice to them. Please remember. It is not our intention to not help others, but then there should be a limitation to everything. The internet is abundant with websites dedicated to improving the English language, drafting skills, sample letters, and whatnot. How many of these youngsters first make an attempt to browse the internet other than Facebook or other social websites? Please find out before taking sides with them!
Unless one can make an attempt at something oneself, I can guarantee all of you youngsters, the future is not going to be as bright as we wish it to be! If you have to swim, one should get into the water and then learn swimming, not by standing on the shore and asking others how to swim. Please allow them to get into the water!
God Bless all of you guys!

I appreciate both of you, sir. But, Sundaram sir, may I know if a person is new to swimming, is it right to swim without the presence of a trainer? The fact is, I am the only one here in the HR role overseeing all the activities. Even though I don't want to consider myself as a junior needing help, there is no senior to guide me in this domain. I have drafted the document myself and sought suggestions for corrections. I kindly ask for your assistance. Sir, I request that we encourage juniors instead of discouraging them, so that in the future, we can be mentors like you.

Dear Mr. Sardar,
Greetings.
You have contributed immensely to this forum, and everybody has benefited. People like me always look at you with great respect for your expert opinion. Please forgive me, but this time you sounded absurd. The very basic purpose of forums like CiteHR will be defeated if we start discouraging newcomers like this. Let us not forget that a large number of the members of this forum come from this junior lot. You have the option not to participate, but showing arrogance does not suit your persona. Boss, this time you have been caught on the wrong foot.

If speaking for the creativity of a person is arrogance, then I am arrogant.

Dear Naresh and John,
Thank you for your support. Sardhar, I appreciate your perspective, but times have changed significantly. The market is now highly competitive, and we are not asking for you to do our work; we simply seek your valuable suggestions. All we request is your help to navigate this competition. We hope for your understanding.

Hi all,
Most of you have not understood what we have written. Our only advice is 'please make an attempt'. There is a famous Chinese proverb that says, unless you do something, you won't remember 90% of what you have seen or heard. Practice only makes a person perfect. There are hundreds of websites available where you can find standard formats. Please access the formats and modify them to suit your requirements. You can limit your approach to the forum where you have technical doubts, legal doubts, etc. Seniors can always share their knowledge and experience.
Hope you understand the spirit in which we spoke.
Best wishes
