Hi,
Here is an Excel file attached, in which you can calculate your Provident Fund interest.
Just input your contribution for any year and the interest rate for that year, and the calculation will be done by the file itself.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Nitesh Barman,
Is this the correct format? It seems to be wrong when I calculate my PF+EPF by adding it and putting interest (9.50%) on the whole figure, I am getting a very small amount as interest.
As per my knowledge, PF is calculated only once a year (after April). But in this format, it is being calculated every month. How is this possible?

Hi,
Maybe you are right that interest is credited to your account in the month of April, but the calculation is made in each month of contribution. It's called compound calculation of interest; I think you have heard about it.

Hi,
Please find the file attached to this post. I have attached my PF contribution, where I do not have an opening balance in my account because this is a new account. In the attachment, you can find my estimated amount, which will be the output at the year-end (April).
I joined Zenara Pharma on 13th May, and at that time, my basic was 5818, and my PF was 698. Please verify if this information is correct.
Also, please provide me with the calculation for each month. What percentage are we going to add each month?

To the PF Office Dwarka, New Delhi.
It is with tremendous regret that I have to inform you that despite couriering my PF documents to your office about a year back, and despite the courier (First Flight) P.O.D stating that the documents were delivered, your office could not provide me with the status. I later discovered that since you were shifting from Wazirpur to Dwarka, the document was not delivered to your Dwarka office. How can a government body act so irresponsibly? Until we are provided with the new address (which was not on your website), many people, like myself, would have sent documents to the address registered on the website. Surprisingly, there was no forwarding mechanism for documents from the old office to the new office, and even more astonishingly, there were no phone numbers available for the new office!
More alarmingly, after submitting my fully filled PF form with all the documents in person by physically visiting your Dwarka office in April, and receiving a Hindi inland card from your office with my PF Account number as proof of receipt, I am still awaiting the disbursement from your end. I left my last company, Sapphire Insurance Agencies, on 18th January 2010, so it has been more than one and a half years without receiving my dues. Despite submitting the forms directly to your Dwarka office, your online status system continues to show "record not found" against my account number.
Adding to this, when I physically checked the status by visiting your Dwarka office again a month ago (it's virtually impossible to travel to Delhi from Kolkata every time to check the status), I was informed that the papers were sent to Kolkata and the status would appear soon on the online portal. However, predictably, the online status system still shows "record not found" against my account number. How long will your office continue to inconvenience people in need like myself? Do I need to travel to Delhi every week from Kolkata, or establish temporary residency or set up camp in your office until my dues are settled?
I urge you to resolve this matter and disburse my claim as soon as possible. Failure to do so will leave me with no alternative but to escalate the matter to the GOI ministry and authorities, such as the Finance Minister, Chief Minister (Central and State), Ministry of Consumer Grievances, and even the Prime Minister's Office.
For your reference, my PF account number is - DL/937257/16.

Saumya,
This sounds to be a very serious issue that could land the concerned EPFO into trouble.
You could send a detailed representation with all relevant attachments to the Regional Commissioner-I of the concerned office together with the concerned zonal vigilance department of the EPFO. Also, a copy should be sent to the Chief Vigilance Officer, EPFO, New Delhi. The respective contact numbers are available on epfindia.gov.in.
Additionally, you could simultaneously register your grievance on the epfindia.gov.in registration portal. If, subsequent to this, your PF is not released, send a legal notice through a lawyer and file a consumer dispute with the nearest consumer disputes redressal forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 1972.
Please revert for any further help in the matter.

Dear Nitesh,
The Excel sheet you prepared is excellent. However, there is one drawback that I would like to bring to your attention. When calculating PF accumulation and interest with an opening balance, it works excellently. But when attempting the same with a new account, it fails to calculate the accurate interest. You can either edit it yourself or provide me with the password or an unprotected file, and I can do it. Nevertheless, I genuinely appreciate your efforts in creating it.
With lots of compliments,
Abhijit.

I would like to know the amount that will be transferred to my account.
