Dear friend,

In order to reduce absenteeism, most companies are providing an attendance bonus of nearly Rs. 100 to Rs. 150 per month to those who do not have any absences in a month.

You can explain to employees that absenteeism will impact their earned leave. To be eligible for earned leave and gratuity, an employee must work for 240 days. In some companies, if an employee has not worked for 240 days in a year, they may not be eligible for an annual increment.

It's important to note that absenteeism can also affect PF contributions and bonuses. For female employees, it can impact maternity leave eligibility (she needs to work for 84 days).

You can communicate these points and also consider putting up a notice board to raise awareness among employees.

Hello Mili,

Can you please tell me what kind of factory it is? Do you know why the employees are absent from work? Personnel and any health reasons (Based on the nature of your industry). According to that, I can provide the best solutions to avoid employee absenteeism regularly.
