Dear All,
We are a new manufacturing company and are in the process of developing the HR department for the company. We would like to know what the list of documents that are needed to be created, circulated, and maintained in an organization is. Are the Employee Handbook and code of conduct the same? Should these be created separately? What policies need to be maintained?
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Thank You.

Dear John,
The Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct are separate titles. The Employee Handbook contains complete information about the company to make new employees aware of the organization. On the other hand, the code of conduct outlines what employees should and shouldn't do.
Additionally, since each company's policies vary based on the nature, type, or kind of business or services provided.
Thanks & Regards,

Dear John,
Please Google the HR Manual and prepare it for your company. Start by implementing the Recruitment Policy, Leave Policy, Retrenchment Policy, Resignation Policy, Retirement Policy, Promotion Policy, Cadres of Staff and their Designation, Payroll structure, Performance Analysis, Annual Appraisal procedure, Disciplinary procedure, Office Code of Conduct, etc.
Please work on these aspects one by one until you have completed them all. Even decades later, anyone who sees the Manual you are creating should speak highly of you.
All the best
