Hi
Please find the answer
Shrinkage is calculated in two parts
a) Absenteeism
b) Attrition
Absenteeism: - Total number of people didn’t turn to office / Total number of
Agent Scheduled

Dear Abhishek,
This is in addition to what Minku has said. Concept of shrinkage is there in purchase and inventory management also.
Shrinkage of inventory happens because of wear and tear of the material, theft, damage while handling etc. Example of shrinkage include storage of perishable food items beyond expiry date, evaporation of petrol, diesel or lubricants, corrosion of nuts and bolts, loss of cement while handling cement bags etc.
To avoid the shrinkage, purchase managers or warehouse managers are made responsible for proper material planning. Shrinkage ratio is calculated every half year or year.
