Hello Seniors,

Today, I received an email from HCL, and they have attached an offer letter with it. The offer letter says that I am selected, but by tomorrow, I have to submit cash of Rs 9500/- in their bank account for the next appointment with them. I received this offer letter from HCL INDIA LTD. As it's a big brand name, I don't want to lose the opportunity. However, when it comes to depositing cash, I have doubts. Also, the email address from which I received the email is not on the HCL domain.

Please suggest to me what I should do?

Thanks,
Neha

Neha,

Still, people like you are believing such emails. Educated people become more gullible than laymen; it is very pathetic. People are still losing money on fake job offers, lottery prizes, luck email prizes, etc., which are currently occupying the inbox of the mail. God only saves these gullible persons.

Best regards,
Pon

Hi Neha,

Never and ever believe those emails. This morning, I also received some offer emails, which I simply deleted. Now, they have started sending fake emails to many people again. So, don't trust any company that asks for money. We provide travel reimbursement to candidates who attend interviews with us, but we never ask for or charge any amount. Please be clear in that email.

Thank you.

Hey Neha, you don't need to consider these kinds of emails, and I agree with Simhan. If you know that you have never applied for the said post, have not received any call or confirmation from them, and have never attended an interview with them, then you can verify the reality of this offer yourself.

Also, I would like to inform you that today I received an email from Maruti Suzuki India Pvt Ltd stating that my CV has been shortlisted along with 62 candidates, and they are offering me a job with a good salary and perks. However, they are asking for an initial cash deposit of Rs. 15,200/-.

Please note that only interested candidates should send us details for the delivery of their air ticket and offer letter.

Hi Neha,

There are a few emails that are just bogus, and some may contain viruses. If you open and download the offer letter attached to it, your system may be attacked with a virus. Besides, none of the top companies ask for a deposit fee or any money upfront. Additionally, no reputable company offers a position without interviews. Please be cautious and do not fall for such emails. Be careful when opening such emails in the future.
